Here are the minutes from the last Parent Council meeting. Please follow the link.
With the weather looking mainly fair today Sports Day will go ahead.
Please bring your full PE kit: shorts, plain t-shirt and trainers. A waterproof jacket is a must as there are showers forecast over lunchtime. If nothing else a waterproof will provide a dry place to sit during the flat races.
We are looking forward to welcoming our friends from Daviot who are coming to join in the Sports Day fun.
Hope to see you there!
Sports Day is postponed until next Tuesday (13th June) due to tomorrow’s forecast for heavy, persistent rain. The children should bring their PE kits tomorrow as usual as Mr Baillie will be here for indoor training instead.
Let’s hope for a return to warm, dry conditions for next Tuesday!
School photos for everyone tomorrow (Thursday 1st June). P1-7 please wear a white polo shirt, school sweatshirt, black or grey trousers or shirt and your best smiles! 😁

Congratulations to the Strathdearn inter-schools sports team (including competitors Christopher and Blair not pictured here) on their fantastic section win! We’re all very proud of you! Special mention for our fabulous reserve Izabela who showed a wonderful, positive sporting attitude.
Bonjour! Come along today and let the children show you the types of activities that help them to learn French.
Early level class invite parents to join them at 11.30 this morning. P2-7 invite you to come along at 1.45 this afternoon.
We’ve even laid on French Riviera style weather!
The sunshine and warm weather has put a smile on everyone’s face. We’re making the most of the lovely weather at school but are mindful of not having too much exposure to the sun.
Please bring a sun hat to school and wear sunscreen. You can also bring sunscreen for your own use to put on before you go out at lunchtime – if your parents think you can manage to apply it by yourself. Make sure you keep your water bottle handy too.
Click on the link above to find out details of our latest meeting. Please consider coming along to the next meeting, Tuesday 12th September.
Sharing views, ideas and information between parents and school allows us to grow the school in directions that best benefit the children.
Meetings are quite informal and not too serious! It would be great to see you next time.
This is just a small amount of the many bags of rubbish collected, and a few of the folk who helped on this soggy Saturday morning to tidy up Tomatin.
Thanks to everyone who came to help, and to Malcolm MacSween and the community council for organising and obtaining gloves, bags and litter pickers.
Special thanks go to Strathdearn pupils for picking litter left by others with such enthusiasm. Responsible citizens for sure!
