Nursery Enrolment

Just a reminder that next week ( Monday 13th- Friday 17th February)  is enrolment week for children eligible for a nursery place during the school session 2017/18.

All the information you require is in the link below. One important change to note is that if your child is already enrolled as a nursery (N4) pupil this year, you do not have to enrol them for for a place at nursery for the next school year.  Please just confirm with Mrs Bell or Mrs Mackay that your child will continue in nursery next year.

ENROLLING ONLINE FOR PRIMARY 1 & EARLY LEARNING AND CHILDCARE IN A SCHOOL – NEW FOR 2017!

If your child will be five years of age on or before 28th February 2018, they are eligible to enrol for Primary 1.

Children born between 1 March 2013 and 28 February 2015 are entitled to a funded Early Learning and Childcare place.

The new session starts on 15th August 2017.

We are pleased to announce that for enrolment into school or early learning and childcare, a new enrolment process has been developed to enable parents and carers to register children for school places online.

The P1 enrolment week for Highland schools is Monday 30th January to Friday 3rd February 2017.

For Early Learning and Childcare places it will be Monday 13th February to Friday 17th February 2017.

Once you have enrolled your child online, the school will contact you to arrange an induction.

Further information on completing the online form, the enrolment process, catchment areas, Gaelic Medium education, school transport and placing requests can be found online at http://www.highland.gov.uk/schoolenrolment or visit your local primary school during enrolment week.

Nursery Inspection

The nursery was inspected by the Care Inspectorate in November.  This was an unannounced inspection. Quality of Care and Support was graded, as well as Quality of Environment.   The Inspector was very happy with the service being delivered at our nursery and no further requirements or recommendations need to be met.

The full report can be accessed here and  also can be accessed on the Early Years Blog.

Care Inspectorate Report 2016

I would like to thank the Early Years Team for their continued hard work and devotion, which makes the nursery the happy place that it is.
