The Early Level Class have been finding out about fire safety…
During the past two weeks, a lot of the children have shown an interest in firemen after using the dressing up and other props for role-play. With the help of the Strathdearn After-School Club, we made a fire engine in the large room to extend this play.
With many children attending Bonfire Night this weekend, we felt it was important to talk about fire safety with all the children.
Malcolm MacSween, a local firefighter, kindly came into school to talk to the children about being safe around firework shows and fire safety at home.
Thank you so much Malcolm – the children loved your visit! The P1 children have produced brilliant pieces of writing about fire safety.
Congratulations to Laila in Primary 1! Laila's drawing was chosen as the winning design for the Tomatin Community Shop bag. Well done to all the pupils who worked hard on their designs. It was a very difficult decision! The bags are currently on sale for £2.99 at the local community shop.
P5, 6, 7 have been busy learning outdoors. Today, we have completed our bug hotel and have made a den using tarpaulin and ropes. The den has already been used for circle time, stories and singing!
