If you can spare some time we would love you to help us make our garden grow!
Our new Gardening Group
Our Garden Group.
A lovely new lick of paint for our vegetable boxes and bench!
We continue to grow many tasty vegetables in our garden. We recently pulled up some tasty spring onions, carrots and more delicious lettuce and ate them at lunch. We have now planted runner beans, courgettes, cucumbers, tomatoes and strawberries. Many thanks to Liz for helping us with our fabulous garden!
Our garden continues to grow. We have used our new propagator and the courgette, cucumber and tomato seeds have done really well. The courgette and cucumber plants have been re-potted and looking very healthy. Many of us planted potatoes for the Potato Competition in September. All very exciting!
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that we have harvested some of the lettuce that we grew ourselves. Members of the Gardening Group cut some of the winter lettuce and gave it to Mrs MacDonlad, our school cook. Everybody had a taste and said it was delicious!!
The radishes are ready too so they will be on offer for tasting in the canteen, along with more of our home grown lettuce.
P5 and 6 have been busy today Thursday 14th June
Mr Cain is working with the P1-4 class on growing vegetables, and we may have some to show everyone by the end of the term. Thanks Mr Cain
Is there anyone who can help us to make our school garden a little more attractive? Any help would be so much appreciated.
